According to family tradition, John B. HOLLOWAY was born abt. 1800 in north Georgia in what is now Rabun County, GA. It has been reported that his brother was Miles Solomon HOLLOWAY, b. abt 1805 GA and father was Solomon HOLLOWAY, UNK. John married Dorcas BECK in 1823 in Hall County. By the 1830 census, the family was in Carroll County, GA; by 1840, they were in Cobb County. They were back in Carroll County by the 1850 and 1860 census, finally moving to Randolph County, AL by the 1870 census. Any information on John HOLLOWAY, his parents, or siblings in North Georgia would be greatly appreciated.
