Starting Sept. 5, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

Glenda, There were two Oscar Gibsons who were first cousins. Oscar C. Gibson, born April 19, 1876 was called "Big Os" because he was older. His father was John Henry Gibson. Oscar A. Gibson (Little Os), was born May 10, 1880, and died December 06, 1971, in Habersham County, Georgia. His father was James Newton Gibson. Oscar A. Gibson was my Grandfather. He died of natural causes and as far as I know never had any trouble with his brother, Tom Gibson. Contact me if I can be of further assistance.

Jim Hartley
