States: Georgia: Rabun
Microfilmed copies of the earliest issues of the Clayton Tribune can be found in the Probate Judge's office in the Rabun County courthouse in Clayton, GA. I believe the time periods covered are from ca 1890 to ca 1920, but I could be mistaken. You can also find paper copies in that office of some early Gainesville and Clarkesville papers, which covered Rabun County in the 1890s through the 1910s in many cases. The Clayton Tribune probably archives their old copies, but they may be available in their downtown office. The Rabun County Historical Society has issues from later newspapers on hand at the museum, I know from about 1960 to the present, but they may also have issues from earlier than that.
