Ferdinand Lawrence Hearn (b. 9 Oct 1820, Putnam Co GA). 1860 census shows him as "Ferdanan" teaching school at Auburn, Gwinett Co, now Barrow Co, GA. Around 1870 he moved with wife and children to Blount Co AL, settling near Liberty. He died sometime before the 1880 census, which lists wife Adecia as a widow. It is possible Ferdinand returned to Georgia and might have died there, although the family definitely continued to reside in Blount County. I have extensive information on FLH and his descendants but would like to have more; will be happy to share or exchange.
