Robert Moseley of Edgefield Dist. SC who died in 1796 issued his Last Will and Testament listing his wife Penelope, daughters Susanna Adams, Sarah Haywood, Martha Stallings, Rachael Davis, Anna Moseley, Mary Holsenback, Lydia Mosseley, Penelope Moseley and Elizabeth Vann, and sons John, Thomas, Robert, Jesse, Daniel and Edward. Executors were John Moseley, Penelope Moseley and Lewis Tillman. Witneses were Daniel Tillman, Lewis Tillman andMary Stallings. This will still exists in the archives in Edgefield County, SC.

The children of this Robert Moseley and other kin and various families related by marriage went to S. AL, many settling in the Pintlala area of Montgomery, AL and spreading into Covington and Coffee County, AL particularly. This included the Vanns whose descendants still live in that area.
