Guess you have gotten both my replies by now - the "W W Lee" b c 1864 seems to be the son of Warren's brother as Warren's "W W Lee" (William W Lee) was b c 1854 and is ten yrs older. There are 2 "W W Lees" listed on that 1870 census, and I feel that Warren and Sarah were still alive as I have seen another census on Warren and Sarah after the 1860 Macon Co.,GA one.
We need to see if we can find the Joel Lee, age 23 in 1860, on a 1870 census - could be that Joel was killed in the Civil War and the cousins were with g-parnets that summer of 1870. But you have given me the link I needed between Sarah and Elizabeth and Osborn and John Cooper Register.
I always knew in my heart (as did ny father when he researched this line for my mother in the 1980s) that Wiley was John C's father; Osborn lists his father as b SC which Wiley was (John C being younger did not know where Wiley was born). There is a John, the right age to be mine, in the 1850 household of Wiley and Mary A Register in Putnam Co.,GA.
John C marries a girl whose parents are from Putnam Co.,GA (Ellen Hill Bishop)in Atlanta in 1858. And in 1860 they are living with Osborn J Register in Atlanta, GA. O J and J L D Register enlist from Fulton Co in the CSA. John C does not but works as a tinsmith making war equiptment during the Civil War and moves to Bartow Co .,GA by 1870 then to Coweta Co.,GA by 1880.
Thank you so much - maybe I can help you with Joel or another brother - weneed to find Elbert (the probable father or uncle of Joel and Warren) before 1870 and Joel in 1870 - I know I have seen Warren in 1870 or 1880 before.
Will look, Celeste
