Thank you so much for posting these will abstracts! They contain many surnames from my family tree, and give me a lot to work with. I've been trying to figure out (long distance from NC) just which Smith was the husband of Gilly Smith......the verdict....Banister Smith!

Does anyone have any information at all about Banister & Gilly Smith? I believe that Banister Smith and Gilly _____ were most likely the parents of Nathan Smith, b. abt. 1809 and married Elizabeth ______. Nathan, Elizabeth, and their children were living next household to Gilley in 1850. Nathan & Elizabeth are 4th greatgrandparents.
