Linda
I have just searched a book my Mother had on cemeteries of Putnam. All hand written notes in different handwritting. This one I believe this one is what you are looking for. The [*] information I added. I will try to type just as the note is written:
Gov Land
Ga Experiment [Station]
near Presleys Mill
Know as old Cools Place.
Original log house here when bought by Gov Torn down.
Only one Grave- No signs now of any others

1 In memory of Penelope
wife of
John Copeland
Died Sept 4 1814
age 56 years
Slab came from Columbus Georgia
[end]
James W. Brittain
