I did see a Robert Walker on a page of marriages in Putnam Co. This Robert Walker married a Susan Holt on Dec. 13, 1827. Is that the right one? This came from a book I have out on inter-library loan called "Early Records of Putnam County, 1807-1860" by E. F. Hull of Ashland, Alabama. Robert's father may have been Handy Walker. I saw a will from Will Book B, 1822-1857, that read like this: "Handy Walker. Sons, Robert, Henderson, isaac, John. Grandchildren, John Hill, and his three sisters, children of Eliza Hill, Delany Hill, Angelina Hill, Martha Hill, Martha Carter. Sons-in-law, John Hill and George Carter. Daughters, Delany Hill, Mahany Carter, Patsy Roper, Betsy Ann. Daughter-in-law, Frances, wife of Isaac. Executors, Pulaski Holt, Skelton Napier, Isaac Walker, Michael Dennis. WW February 25, 1845; WP January 10, 1846."

Hope this has helped some. Let me know, please.
