McKays of Putnam Co. in early 1800s

I would love to know about any McKays in Putnam Co. about 1800. My direct line is Norman McKay and Lydia Holloway who were married 13 April 1809 in Putnam Co., GA. I saw a reference to his serving as Coroner. He moved on to Madison Co,AL then Marion Co.,AL by 1822 where he owned McKay General Store and is also listed in the 1850 Census as a tailor and his place of birth as NC abt.1787. He died in Marion Co., 1861.
Also, my father always thought Norman McKay's family came from Ireland but no one has seemed to be able to find his parents' names.
I noticed an Adam McKay whose obit was listed for Putnam Co. in 1809 and it stated he was from Antrium, Ireland. He was old enough to have been Norman's father. I also saw mention of other McKays there. Can anyone help with information about any of the McKay families who lived in that area?
