The information numbered and quoted below is from the Bible of Mary Alice [NOYES] and Judson CRABB son of John Calaway Crabb and exactly as written:
(1) "John C Crabb Aug 28 1826" (birth)
(2) "John C Crabb and Frances York was married June 2nd 1850"
(3) "John C. Crabb departed this life 23 minutes before 4am 15 Jul 1863. He died from a wound received in the battle of Murfreesboro fought July 13th 1852. He intered at burying ground at Wm Anderson's White Co Tenn. ___ ___ 8 miles west of Sparta. His body was moved to burying ground near Van Wert"
(4) "Francis York Crabb Nov 22nd 1827" (birth)
(5) "Frances Crabb departed this life 11am 27 Sep 1867"

John Calaway CRABB Served as Commander of Company A, 1st Regiment Georgia Cavalry - rank Captain.
Scott Jackson, A, 1st Regiment Georgia Cavalry historian, is in the process of placing a CSA marker as a memorial to Capt Crabb at the old Barber Cemetery in Polk Co GA although it is not certain that he is buried there.

If anyone has any family letters, deeds, wills, Bible pages, military records, court records, obituaries, newspaper articles, biographies, etc that states a KINSHIP of any kind to any CRABB, or YORK, or HOBBS, or WEATHERLY,
or MORGAN, or other person related to the children of James Burton CRABB and Rachel [JONES] would you please, please contact me ?

Capt Crabb was very well known and respected in both Polk and Paulding counties and I think it highly probable that there would be some publication of his death 15 Jul 1862 -
were there any newspaper in publication at that time? If so and any are surviving, where would they be found???
