LuAnn,
Hello, and hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
I obtained a copy of the obituary for my Grandmother: It reads as follows:
Wednesday Dec 7,1938
Cherokee County Herald
Mrs. Marvin Jenkins
Funeral services were held Sunday for Mrs. Marvin Jenkins, 44 of Alexis. Burial was at "Oak Bowery near Cedartown,Ga.
Jordan Funeral home in charge. Surviving are the husband, Marvin Jenkins and two children.

I Know my grandmother died in Centre Alabama, but where is "Oak Bowery"? Do you know if this could have been a misprint or was "Oak Grove cemetery" called Oak Bowery at one time? I am confused now more that ever.
We have always visited "Oak Grove cemetery". And the Church name there is "Oak Grove Baptist Church. If you run across any information on this, I would appreciate it if you would contact me. Thanks a bunch for all you help. Just thought I would let you know what I found.
Have a great day
Wanda
