Above is the census address for my GG-grandmother Mary Elizabeth [Shaw] Smith & also the 1880 Mortality Schedule showing the death of my GG-grandfather James D. Smith....
8 of their 11 chn were living with their widowed mother on the 1880 census and the 3 oldest daughters were married???
I am trying to find out where their daughters Sarah Jane [Smith] born 11 Jan 1851; Katherine "Kate" [Smith] born 11 Dec 1856; & Susan Frances [Smith] born 03 Feb 1860 were living in 1880 and who they married.
I would also like to know who sons William Washington Smith & John Gibson Smith married and daughter Mary Elizabeth [Smith]?
This family was not in Paulding County in 1870 and in 1900, GG-grandma, James Henry, Lillian, & Arovia were living in Polk Co Ga and Alice in Beaumont, Texas.
Thankyou to each and everyone who have so thoughtfully given your time on my behalf and shared legal record locations with me - without you I'd still be out in left field. Gratefully, Kathye [Payne] Upham
P.S. does anyone know who the parents of "Dr. Monro SMITH, age 35/38 born Ga living next door to my widowed GG-grandma in 1880 are??? Monro was living in the HH of G.B. Elsberry and their seems to be some kind of earlier connection....?"
