I am looking for information on a Joseph Carnes, perhaps John Joseph Carnes born 1760 in Granville Co., NC. He had a son named John Carnes born 1786 in Granville Co., NC and died Dec. 1857 in Polk Co., GA. John married Mary Smallwood born 1790 in NC and died April 15, 1866 in Comanache Co., TX. John and Mary were married in Franklin Co., GA in 1808.
Also looking for Zachariah Carnes born 1785 in North Carolina, (probably Granville Co.) and died May 1855 ????. He married a Mary Unknown born abt 1790 in VA and died April 9, 1885 ????. Zachariah had a son named William Carnes born in Georgia in abt 1810 and died in Grayson County, KY, Aug 10, 1852. William married an Eliza Decker born abt 1814 in KY.
Any information on these Carnes would greatly be appreciated.
