I am looking for any information on Dr J D Thompson (James Dalrymple Thompson), wife Mary Elizabeth Ann Baskin Thompson and family who lived in Polk Co (Van Wert and Cedartown) and neighboring Floyd Co (Cave Spring between the middle 1850's and 1867. The Census of 1860 has them in the Van Wert District. My grandfathers papers place them in Cave Spring some time before that and Cedartown during the Civil War. The family located in Atlanta in 1867-1868.
