I have some research information on Cherokee Chief Richard Fox Taylor b. 1788 d. 1853 who is buried at Tahlaquah, OK that may help some. He was married to Susan Fields b. 1806 d. 1872. He appears 20 years -or+) her senior.

His son, Thomas Fox Taylor (1851 Drennan Roll) b. 1811 Crockett, TN d. 1863 - killed in the Civil War Battle of Menard, IL. He married Mary A. Blackburn. Notice that Thomas FT b. 1811 is not the son of Susan Fields as she was born 1806 making her only six years old at the time Thomas FT was born so Chief Richard Fox Taylor had a previous marriage/mate. Regardless, this ancestry is reported as:

Thomas Fox Taylor, Richard Fox, Jennie Walker, Catherine Kingfisher, Nancy Ward, Tame Doe, Nancy, Matoy, A-ma-do-ya by some.

My ancestor is Solomon Taylor b. 1823 GA - the son of Thomas Fox Taylor and Mary Blackburn. Can anyone provide further proof that Solomon Taylor is Thomas Fox Taylor's son? His father would have been 12 years old when he had Solomon - possible, but just makes me wonder about it.
