Janice, thanks for the reply. I do not know enough about the family to trace the connections. In the 1880 census I have found a Martha Hancock, widow, with three daughters: Alfa P. age 17, Mandy S. age 14, and Mary E. Age 13. This was in Habersham Co GA. I am thinking that Mary E. could be my grandmother, but now will need to check the 1870 Census. Anyway, thanks for trying to help. Geraldine
