My ggg-grandfather James Oliver, married to Margaret Eraline/Evelyn Turner, was in the 1880 Pickens County census, but not in the 1900 census. Eraline was listed as head of household then. Does anyone know how or when James Oliver may have died?
Also, my gg-grandfather, Wesley Oliver, married to Sarah/Sallie Smith, was in 1910 census, but not in 1920 census. Sarah was listed as living with her son, William Oliver. William, listed as married--but no wife!! Where was his wife, Samantha E.? And mother Sarah was also listed as married--but where is husband, Wesley?
Also, is there an 1890 census, or was it destroyed?
Thanks for any help.
