Crumpton (Thomas, Amanda, Sarah Ann Bates) 1840-1890

I have hit a steel wall researching the parents of my great grandfather, Thomas Jefferson Crumpton, b1882 in Paulding County.

He was son of (I believe) Amanda Crumpton b abt 1848.

Amanda was daughter of (I believe) Thomas Crumpton b abt 1809 and Sarah Ann Bates b abt 1811.

Thomas was son of Jehu Crumpton (II) and Martha Francis Scates.

I am seeking information about Thomas Jefferson Crumpton's birth, or who his father might have been, or any other information that may give some clues.

Regarding his mother Amanda, I believe she was widowed or divorced at the time of his death (from a John Cochran / Cohran m 02 Feb 1871). She later married a Miles Landmon. Both marriages were reported to have been in Paulding County.

If anyone has any information, I would certainly love to hear it! Thanks!
