Hello
Thanks so much for the information. My ancestor was David Rauther Smith Sr. I know he died in 1849 in Paulding co Ga. I believe he was born in 1802. I think he lived in Newton co Ga but I am not sure. I know his wife Sarah Austin Smith and her children were listed in the 1850 Newton co Ga census. As you know Paulding co Ga is next to Newton co Ga. An older cousin has a family tree that lists the father of David Rauther Smith Sr as George Smith who was listed in the 1850 Paulding co Ga census. If David and his family lived in Newton co Ga maybe David died in Paulding co Ga because he was there because his father George was there. Any help greatly appreciated. Also, what time frame are the names you sent me from? Ross
