There were 2 families of Littles who moved to Paulding County, Georgia from SC and NC in about 1840, and one family of Littles who moved to Carroll County, Georgia from Jackson County, Georgia in about 1837. They had moved to Jackson County, Georgia. They had moved from Wilkes County, Georgia in about 1804 to Jackson County, Georgia. As far as I know, the 3 families are not related.
If any descendants of any of these families see this, I'd really like to hear from them. I am descended from the family who moved to Carroll County, Georgia, but I know some of the descendants of the other 2 families.
The progenitor(sp) of the family who went to Paulding Couhnty from NC was John C Little, son of James Little, and grandson of Captain Daniel Little, who moved to NC from Pennsylvania in 1750. The other family who moved to Paulding County was led by a Francis Little, from SC, who married a lady named "Boyd". A Dr. Samuel Little, who was a Promanate Dr. and teacher at the the University of Alabama.
The other family, who went to Carroll County, was my line, led by (William) Joseph Little, born in SC in 1771, and followed his Uncle, Col. James Little to Jackson County
from Wilkes County in about 1804. His oldest son, Josiah Little, who was my G,G,G,Grandfather got married to Martha Steward, in 1817 in Jackson County.
As hard as I could try, I can not tie my family into either of the other ones.
