James Gilbert and Samuel Denton

I am looking for information on Dentons in Paulding County. My g-g-grandfather James Gilbert Denton was born in 1832 or 1833 and is shown in the 1880 census as living in Acorn Tree, Paulding Co. The census lists his occupation as farmer, but in the book Paulding County: Its People and Places, he is also listed as minister of three area churchs: First Baptist Church of Dallas, Poplar Springs Bapt. Church, and Cross Roads Bapt. Church of Christ during the period 1865-1875. He was married to Frances Amanda Dunn, and later moved his family to DeKalb County, AL. I'm also seeking information on his father, Samuel Denton who died in 1889 in Paulding Co. Does anyone have information to share? Thanks in advance.
