Hello,

My name is Jason Lee Edwards and I am the president of the Paulding Count Historical Society. I also serve on the Paulding County Cemetery Preservation Commission. We had records of an Unknown family cemetery off of Sweetwater Church Road that, just today, we have identified as the Norton Family Cemetery. According to a letter we received in 2000 Daniel Welcome Norton and possibly his father are buried in this cemetery.
We are also informed that one “Millie Norton died 1915” is buried there as well. Presumably that would be Malinda Umphrey Norton, wife of D. W. Norton.
There are several graves marked with fieldstones in the cemetery but only one with an inscription that appears to read “DWN”. I would love to discuss this cemetery further as it is in dire need of TLC.

Thanks,
Jason Lee Edwards
