Here is a link to an invaluable map for people doing research into old Cherokee County. It shows what counties are now in what areas.

You can see from the map that the 3rd District of the 2nd Section is in the current Cherokee County, east of Canton, GA.

I checked Bartow County deeds for Millington Morgan selling land and did not find him. There deeds do not quite go back to 1832 so it is possible that the deed book it was recorded in is missing. It is also possible that he never had the deed recorded.

Next time I get a chance I will check Cherokee County records for Millington and James Morgan.
