I am looking for information on the 2 Williams families listed in the Paulding Co 1880 census, Weddington District, living next to each other.
The first family - M. A. Williams 51 F from Ga. - her husband must have died by 1880.
The second famiy - W.T. Williams 40 M from Ga. - spouse M.E. F 34 from Ga.
There is a M.A. Williams buried at Bethel Cemetery, Paulding Co. and the dates agree with this M.A.
There is also a W.T Williams buried at Bethel Cemetery, Paulding CO. and dates agree.
The first family - M. A. Williams has 3 sons listed in the census and 1 daughter. One of the sons is H.E. This could be Henry E. Williams that is also buried at Bethel. Dates agree. Henry and his wife, Alice, are buried next to the Simmons family of Charles, Saphronia and Lois. Charles and Saphronia Simmons are my great grandparents. Saphronia's maiden name is Williams. Charles and Saphronia are also living in the Weddington District in the 1880 census not far from the 2 Williams families.
The second Williams family -W. T. Williams could be the brother of the deceased head of the 1st Williams family.
Does anyone know anything about either or both of these Williams families?
Can anyone identify who M.A. Williams' spouse was?
Where did these families come from before Paulding Co.? Who are the children of M.A. and unknown spouse?
Does anyone have access to the 1870 Paulding Co. census or know where I can find it? I have not been able to find it online.
