I have a xerox of a Bible record sent to me by a Baggett descendant which shows the following:
Nancy N. Baggett was born Aug. 2, 1817
Jackson Baggett was born Oct. 1, 1812
Overton Crawsby McClung was born Oct. 27th 1835
Richard Franklin McClung was born Dec. 27, 1837
James Martin Baggett was born Oct. 5, 1840
Charles Wiley Baggett was born Jan. 24th 1850
Harriett Lutitia Baggett was born June 22nd 1856.
Jackson Baggett, 1 Oct. 1812 - 27 June 1863, is buried at Mt. Carmel Cemetery south of Douglasville, Douglas County, Ga. Nancy N. Baggett, 2 Aug. 1817 - 20 Nov. 1869, is buried at Sweetwater Baptist Church in southern Paulding County on the Douglas County line, where Reuben McClung and the other early McClungs of Paulding County are buried.
On the 1840 census of Campbell (now Douglas) County, Jackson Baggett's household included only himself and wife and a young male aged under 5 (son James Baggett). On the 1850 census of Campbell County, (Richard) Franklin McClung is shown in the Jackson Baggett household as Franklin "Baggett," aged 13: Jackson Baggett 38 NC, Nancy 34, Franklin 13, James 11. After Nancy N. Baggett's death, the two McClung boys are shown in the household of William and Nancy Sewell on the 1860 census of Brownsville, Paulding County. Richard F. McClung died as 1st Sgt. of Company K, 41st Ga. Infantry, CSA, at Lauderdale Springs, Miss., on 14 May 1862.
How were the McClung children related to Nancy N. Baggett?
