Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

William A. Burns and his wife Luraney ? were born about 1813/1814. He was born in SC (or at sea
coming from Ireland or Scotland with the port of entry in SC). Luraney was from GA. In 1840 they
were in Carroll Co. GA, and in 1850 in Paulding Co. GA. A few years after the War most of the
family migrated to Hempstead Co. AR. Their children included Nancy Burns who married (?) Ward
and probably remained in GA; Seaborn B. Burns born about 1831; Henry Haynes Burns born 1835
who married Frances Harris; Samuel C. Burns born 1841; and Mary Ann Burns born 1845 who
married Thomas J. Palmer. Please contact me if you have any knowledge of this family. I am happy
to share.
