The Nancy McLain who married John Bellah was the daughter of William Thomas McClain & Rebecca Ann Warren. She was born 3-17-1794 in Oglethorpe Co., GA and died 2-15-1877 in Haralson, Cowetta Co., GA. Around 1810 William & Rebecca relocated to TN where their last 2 children were born. By 1830 the McLain family were in Trinity Co., TX. Between 1850 & 1860 William died and Rebecca moved with her daughter Rufus & Mary Ann McLain Foster to Santo in Palo Pinto Co., TX. No records on Rufus, Mary Ann or Rebecca after 1860. The Foster's daughter, Louisa Missouri Foster married Benjamin Franklin Day---there are my great grandparents. Somewhere I have a copy of the page from Rebecca's Bible which lists their children.
