Thanks so much for looking for a will for George Ray. Would you mind looking for one more will for me in Oglethorpe co Ga? there were five Echols living in Oglethorpe co Ga in the 1790's. There was a John,Elijah and three James Echols. My ancestor was Jane Echols who married Solomon Ray in 1796 in Wilkes co Ga. I am trying to find who her parents were. I thought if you could find some Echols who left wills in Oglethorpe co Ga in probably the 1830's or 1840's it might mention a Jane Ray (married name)as a daughter and that would tell me who her father was. Her father was probably one of the five Echols living in Oglethrope co Ga in the 1790's. If you have time to check that it would be appreciated. I have searched for over five years trying to find who her parents were. I believe I read somewhere that Madison co Ga was formed from part of Oglethorpe co Ga but I don't remember when. Some of these Echols might have been living in the part of Oglethorpe co Ga that became Madison co Ga. Thanks, Ross
