I have and am searching for information on Joseph Jones Jr. born ABT 1803 in Oglethorpe County, Georgia...he was the son of Joseph Jones Sr. born ABT 1765 in North Carolina.

Joseph's siblings were:

Elizabeth Jones
Cynthia Jones
Seaborn Jones
Freeman Jones
Raleigh E. Jones
Anna Jones
Wiley Jones
Martha Jane Jones
Pressley Jones
William Jones
Sarah Nancy Ann Jones

Joseph Jones Jr. had a daughter in Alabama 1832, named Martha Ann Jones and I descend from her.

He also had a son named Isham B. Jones. (The "B" stand for Benjamin.) Isham married Minerva Rambo 28 Dec 1859 in Butler County, Alabama at the home of Mrs. Williams. They later moved to Texas in the 1870's.

He also had another son named Samuel J. Jones who was married to Lucy. Samuel died 1919/10/19 in Red Level, Alabama. He served with 33rd Alabama Regiment Company "C" during the Civil War.

I have letters written by Isham while he served in the Civil War and some he wrote to his mother and sister in Butler County, AL after he move to Texas.

Would love to swap infomation with anyone from this Jones family.
