Richard Bell and Martha Bledsoe Bell married on September 3, 1849, in Oglethorpe Co., Georgia. They were first cousins. Richard Bell died about 1856-1858 and I heard from someone whom I don't have the email from anymore that Richard died in Perry Co., Alabama, which is a coincidence since several others died in Perry Co., Alabama, including I think his father-in-law Moses Bledsoe in 1845. I have not researched Perry Co., Alabama to see what was going on, it may have some answers to dig in there. Martha the widow re-married to William M. Raiden Jr. abt. 1859 in or around Oglethorpe Co., Georgia, and they had at least 7 children, whom I would like to learn more about simply because they were her children. Richard and Martha had two sons, William Bell and Richard Bledsoe Bell. Richard Bledsoe Bell was in Barbers Creek District, Clarke Co., Georgia in 1880 and had his half-brother John Raiden living with him, while their mother Martha Bledsoe Bell Raiden was living in Bowling Green District, Oglethorpe Co., Georgia, in 1880 with her other Raiden children. I have not found Richard and Martha's son William after 1860. He was 18 by the time of the 1870 census and I have not bothered looking for him yet.
Richard Bledsoe Bell ended up marrying Susan Salina Epps, daughter of Thomas North Epps and Cecilia Penelope Jennings Epps from Clarke Co., Georgia, members of Mars Hill Baptist Church in Oconee Co., Georgia. Richard Bledsoe Bell married Susan Salina Epps on January 6, 1881, in Oconee Co., Georgia. They later moved to Bartow Co., Georgia, by at least 1899, for they appear in 1900 in Bartow County, Georgia, and their children all grew up there.
