Wow! Ann, that's fascinating!

As you may have noticed from earier correspondences, I have directions to the cemetery. But a biography of Micajah and description of the local populace is just icing on the cake. Thank you SO much for taking the time to respond with this wonderful information. I'll be sure and look into Gilmer's book.

What makes this doubly interesting is that my wife teaches 8th grade Georgia History, and was only casually aware of the Georgia Encyclopedia. I have no doubt that she will be using it regularly, now that you have clued us in to it.

Once again, thank you. I have maintained for years, that the rewards in researching genealogy lie only in part, in those ancestors who have preceded us. You are testament to that belief.
