There were a number of Ragans in Beaverdam Primitive Baptist Church's (Oglethorpe County) early years, although I didn't see any Betsy. Nevertheless, the following may have been kinfolk:
Mark Ragan -- dismissed from the church on Nov. 15, 1823 -- became a deacon on April 15, 1815
Jinny " -- dismissed Nov. 15, 1823
John Ragan/Ragin -- dismissed Feb. 15, 1823
Kiddy Ragan -- dismissed Jan. 16, 1817
Keziah " -- transferred to the church by letter on March 16, 1817, and then it has another Kesiah Ragan listed as transferring to the church on Jan 17, 1818. If this person left the church between those dates, it is not mentioned. It is also possible that we're talking about two different people, but in these two cases, the names are listed like free members rather than slave members. This is possibly a Ragan slave named Kesiah, too, but this might have been the free Keziah Ragan listed above...it's all murky. Anyway, a Keziah Ragan was dismissed from the church on Jan. 19, 1828.
Hope this helps!
