Brent, do you recall a Benjamin F.and Mahala Vaughn Walker on that roll? I know that these Walkers bought acreage on Little Beaverdam Creek in 1843 and that they were Primitive Baptist so it is probable that they attended this church. My Brooks and Walkers eventually settled in Harris County, GA. I do remember being curious about a possible connection to an Eckles family in Harris or Troup. Several Oglethorpe families went that way. You might look there for descendants.

My Vaughns in Oglethorpe could have also attended, but they also might have attended Millstone Baptist Church.

A group of about ten people are researching the James Brooks family that migrated from NC to Wilkes and were left in the Oglethorpe section instead of Warren. James Brooks came in the late 1700's and left in about 1809. He married Elizabeth Traylor in Caswell County, NC. Her Traylor family lived on Goosepond Creek below Lexington.
