Mary, There are two wills in Oglethorpe County that should interest you! One of Robert Holmes in 1816 and one of Sarah Holmes in 1851. I supect that the Sarah you mentioned that was there in 1850 is this one and she does name sons John and William. The older will if Robert, probably the grandfather, names his five heirs and info about 5000 acres he owned in Tenn.
