Rueben Brookins and Alford/Alfred Laython/Laython

Looking for any info on Rueben Brookins and Alford/Alfred Layton/Laython who are living in Muscogee Co according to the 1859 census. Rueben was a free Black and had a Mary Brookins and a child William Brookins living there. Alfred was living with them. Trying to trace Alfred. He then moved to Barbour Co Al. where he married and then moved to Covington Co. Al according to the 1860 census. Alfred was born in Washington Co.,Ga. in 1828 and then shows up in Muscogee Co. There was a slave owner in Washington Co. by the name of Benjamin Brookins.Any ideas out there? Desperately need leads. Can be reached at:
