Looking for information on Sarah Johnson who was born abt 1832 in Baldwin Co GA and Priscilla Johnson who was born abt 1831 in Baldwin Co. I believe they are sisters. Sarah married Joseph S. Vickery April 18, 1848 in Muscogee Co GA and Priscilla married his brother, John B. Vickery March 2, 1848 in Muscogee Co GA. Both Joseph and John Vickery inlisted in the 2nd Regiment, Alabama Cavalry in Tallapoosa Co AL. John was captured 6 Dec 1863 at Sallesberry, TN (Germantown). He was admitted to the USA Post & Prison Hospital, Alton, Ill. January 5, 1864 with Rubella (measles) and died Jan 7/8, 1864.
Joseph was wounded in the hip. He died after 1900 and is buried at Beauvoir Confederate Cemetery at Gulfport, MS.
