HOLCOMB - Clarence, Joe, James. Seeking ancestors, siblings, and descendents of these three Holcomb family brothers. Especially need information on siblings (and their descendants) who may have remained in AL when some relocated to TX.
- Born in Barbour County, Alabama ... (lived in areas of Eufaula and Clayton) and their parents were born in Georgia.
- Migration path of this family seems to have been from Baldwin to Monroe (before 1850) to Muscogee Counties (by 1850 census) of Georgia (in that order), then to Russell (by 1860 census) to Barbour (by 1880) Counties in Alabama, thence some to Lamar, Hopkins Counties in TX (by 1900 census), some later to Logan County Arkansas, ... some to Ouachita Parish Louisiana ... and perhaps elsewhere.
Clarence L., and wife Myrtle O. (nee unknown), buried in Logan County, Arkansas - McVay Cemetery. Located NW of paris, Arkansas.

Joseph S., and first wife, Mattie (nee believed to be HUNT), m. ~ 1897?, and 2nd wife Altie/Alta (nee unknown, may have been married prior to a WEST), m. ~ 1909?. Burial information is unknown for Joe, Mattie, and Altie/Alta; though unproved, possibly Joe was buried in 1953 in Como Cemetery in Hopkins County, and Altie/Alta in the 1970's in Hopkins county, both not yet proved. [Also, not clear whether Mattie passed away in her early 30's or there was other marriage dissolution.]
