William Beck, b. 1869 in Georgia
Posted by: Candy Risher (ID *****1600) Date: November 20, 2003 at 11:36:33

found a William Beck that could turn out to be MY William Beck in the 1880 Federal Census.

Does anyone know of the Martin Beck Family living in or around the Muscogee Co., GA area around 1880?

My William has an interesting family story attached to him. It is rumored that his parents were killed by indians and that he was adopted by a local sheriff. Shortly thereafter he and a friend stole some horses and a wagon and ran away to TX.

By 1910, William G. Beck was living in TX, married to Emma C. and the father of 7 children. I am interested to know if I have found his family in Georgia and if anyone has information on them.

Thanks!!
