Does anyone have any ideas about how I might obtain information about someone who died in Columbus, Georgia, Muscogee County, while visiting there. William Knight died January 9, 1900, in Columbus, Georgia, was returned to Macon, Georgia for burial on January 11, 1900. Someone looked in the only newspaper on microfilm in the library and did not see anything about this. (Sorry, I don't know the name of this particular newspaper.) Would there have been other newspapers of the day, and how might I find a copy of the death notice? Would Muscogee County have kept records of this in 1900? Would appreciate any help or ideas. Glenda Smith
