JOHN M. GOETCHIUS - CSA
Posted by: Greg C. White (ID *****3621) Date: July 27, 2002 at 19:10:05

I am seeking any information available on John M. Goetchius, a Confederate soldier mortally wounded at Gettysburg, PA, July 2, 1863. He was a member of the 2nd Georgia Battalion Infantry, and was initially buried at Gettysburg, before his remains were shipped to Columbus and buried there in the family plot.

I am not a Goetchius family member or descendant, nor do I have any genealogical information to offer. John is a key figure in my upcoming book - "Georgia At Gettysburg". Any assistance or suggestions would be tremendously appreciated.
