In the 1850 Sevier County, TN census I found a household of Lucy Breeden (age 47) along with the following younger people:
Emalice (25), Tillitha (18), Zilpha (15), Susannah (12), Nancy (10), Elizabeth (1), Pheraby (24), and Roadrick (1). They are all listed as BREEDENs.
Next door are Jane Breeden (age 45, born in GA), Manerva (21), Mitchell (16), and George (13).
The next household is Lewis Breeden (23), Betheny (22), and Sarah (3).
In the 1860 census Murray County, GA census, I find what appears to be the similar household. Only now the last name is WEBB.
Lucinda Webb (age 49, born in TN), Emy L.(31), Telitha (23), Elisabeth (11), Sylvia (3), Zilpha (2), Lucinda (1).
In a nearby household in this census is a George Webb (26, born in TN) and Marth (23, born in TN.
Can someone help me sort these out?
I am looking for my ggg grandparents, George W. Webb (born 1833 in Sevier Co TN), and Martha Jane Connatser. Could Lucinda Webb be George's mother? Who was her husband? Is she the same person as Lucy Breeden in the 1850 Sevier County census? Could this George and Martha be the ones I'm looking for? If so, they are back in Jones Cove, Sevier Co in 1870. (I can't find them in the 1860 census in Sevier Co). And if so, why are they in Georgia?
Thanks for any help untangling these Breedens and Webbs
