I'm looking for info on William A. Fox. What info I have is taken from 1860, 1870 and 1880 census. I'm sure I have the same family in each. In 1860 William, his wife, and first four children were in the same household as R. M. James, Martha (Glass) James, Samuel A. James, and Nancy C. James. The 1880 census indicates that both William and Charity's parents were from Tennessee.
In all three census William and family was in Murray county, Georgia.
William A. Fox, born bet. 1827 and 1835 in Tennessee, farmer.
Charity Fox, born bet. 1835 and 1843 in Tennessee, keeping house.
William and Charity's children were:
Lewis E. Fox, son, born 1851 - 1852 in Tennessee
Aurelius (Oriolles) Fox, son, born 1854 - 1855 in Tennessee
Lafayette Fox, son, born 1858 - 1859 in Georgia
Rodas Fox, daughter, born April 1860 in Georgia
William Fox, son, born 1863 - 1865 in Georgia
Alice Fox, daughter, born 1865 - 1866 in Georgia
Julia Fox, daughter, born 1866 - 1867 in Georgia
Nancy J. Fox, daughter, born 1867 - 1868 in Georgia
Avil Fox, daughter, born abt. 1870 in Georgia
Samuel Fox, son, born abt. 1873 in Georgia
Mary Fox, daughter, born abt. 1875 in Georgia
Sarah Fox, daughter, born abt. 1876 in Georgia
Fanny Fox, daughter, was 6 months old in the 1880 census born in Georgia.
From the years and number of children, I'm inclined to think William was married twice. But I'm not sure.
Anyone who has info on this family please contact me.
Questions are welcome too.
