The first paragraph about the Richard Cooper family is correct, except there were more children. George Washington Cooper, son of George and Nancy Conner Cooper, was not the George Washington Cooper who married Lucy/Lacy Register on 10 November, 1831.

William died in 1840 and willed his holdings in Sceven County equally to his nephews and nieces, children of his brother George and his sister Rachel Cooper Parker. William appointed George manager. In the winter of 1940/1941 George and his unmarried children moved to Screven County.

This George Washington Cooper was born on 26 August, 1821(he was age 10 when the other George Washington Cooper married) This George Washington Cooper married Sarah Lucretia Evans of Screven County.

None of George and Nancy's sons remained in Montgomery County. The other Montgomery County Coopers are of a different line.
