Elias Ward of Montgomery County Georgia
Posted by: Timothy Hudson (ID *****7158) Date: September 24, 2003 at 05:15:49

I am attempting to determine what happened to Elias Ward who lived in Montgomery County GA between about 1802 and 1812. Did he die in Montgomery County or leave and settle elsewhere?

Elias was a son of James Ward of Halifax Co NC. Elias served in the military during the Revolution, but sold out in Halifax between 1783-1785 and moved to Burke Co GA by 1788. He moved to Jefferson County between 1796-1799, and remained there through 1801 but was gone by 1802.

Thanks for any help.
