I have just found some jury lists from 1797-98 for Montgomery Co., GA. Listed on these lists are Robert Roberts, Drury Roberts, Sr., Drury Roberts, Jr, Frederick Roberts, Frederick's son Hansel Roberts, Gray S. Roberts and Wright Sheffield who was son-in-law to Frederick Roberts. There are several of us researchers who believe that Robert, Frederick, Drury Sr, and Gray S. (Stock) were brothers.

We know that Robert and Gray S. were brothers (Robert also has a son named Gray Stock Roberts who married Sarah Lott). There are other references to Robert and the elder Gray S. being brothers.

Frederick and Drury Sr both had daughters who married Sheffield brothers. Frederick's daughter, Martha, married Wright Sheffield and Drury Sr's daughter, Elizabeth Jane, married Isham Sheffield. Wright and Isham are the sons of John and Elizabeth Graddy Sheffield.

We have found these same Roberts living in Burke Co., GA at the same time as well. All of these Roberts were also born in VA between 1752 and 1760. If we can establish their relationship as brothers, then oerhaps we will be able to locate more on their parents.

Drury Sr's parents have been listed in many places as John Roberts and Elizabeth Walker. The big question is: are they also the parents of these other Roberts??

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks and take care.

Lisa
