While looking for Nimrod Stradley, I found this :
March 1816, Montgomery County Ga:" Whereas Moses Bun applies to me for letters of administration on the estate and effects of William Stradley late of this county, deceased, who died in the expedition against the Lotcheway Indians in East Flordia...Given under by hand this 16th day of March, 1816...
(signed) D. Thompson, Clerk."
July 19, 1815 Montgomery County Ga:
"Whereas Benjamin G Cray, Elizabeth Clark, and Eliza Mobley, have applied for letters of administration on the estates of Nimrod Stradley, Joshua Clark and John Mobley, late of Montgomery County, deceased". Now this one confuses me---Did the three people apply as a group for letters on all three estates? Or this this three separate application for three separate estates? Elizabeth Clark was widow of Joshua Clark and daughter of Nimrod Stradley, but I can't connect Benjamin Clay, Eliza Mobley, and John Mobley to the Clarks or Stradleys.
Is William Stradley and Nimrod Stradley (1750-1815) connected? Nimrod was probably born in NC, but was in Ga by 1802 when he bought land in Tattnall County.
If anyone has any info that would help, I sure would love to hear from you.
