Georgia,

I am a descendant of Josiah Wade Hatcher (1761-1823) and Sarah Hill Hatcher (1790-1846). I have copies of their Family Bible records. In those records are two Hill deaths. One is for Elijah Hill that states "Elijah Hill Deceased Life 23rd February 1831." The other entry says "Jepthah Hill Deceased 25th March 1832 in Monroe County." I believe these were brothers of Sarah Hill Hatcher, who died in Burke County, GA on 23 Dec 1846. I have seen many researchers suggest that Sarah Hill's mother was named Jeptha, but to my knowledge Jeptha(h) was a male name. If you are interested in comparing notes, please feel free to email me.
