KOLB/CULP, Josiah (Joseph/Joe), born April 7, 1819, GA. He came to TX when it was The Republic of TX in the mid 1830's, m Rachel Eaton abt 1840-1842, she was born in ILL. Records in TX states Josiah was a native of GA, spent time in TN and came to TX. Family tales are that he changed the spelling of his last name to CULP and that he had a brother with the old spelling (it is assumed that it was KOLB), I and several other family members has been searching for Josiah's parents for a number of years and keep getting no clues.

Any help would be appreciated in locating the parents and siblings for Josiah CULP/KOLB.

Thank you.
