Ross, you'll find his RW pension file on,...many pgs, but in the meantime here is a thumbnail sketch.

Demsey TYNER
In 1832, Hamilton Co TN, he was 77yrs of age
He enlisted Abbeville SC [resided 1790 Edgefield Co SC]; after the war he resided Jackson Co GA 7yrs; Roane Co TN 5yr; Hamilton Co TN 18
died 10-15-1842 Merriweather Co GA
His widow, Obedience, filed for his pension for Merriweather GA, and made suggestion the pension was in arrears from 1838-1842. The outcome wasn't given, or whether she was accepted/rejected, nor does it give her maiden name/marriage date.
He did state his memory wasn't so great, so some of the info could be off a few yrs.

Interesting....on SC RW rosters he is listed as a patriot, and as a Loyalist. One site states he was a spy [wounded/captured], so maybe he infiltrated the enemy troops???

GA Property Tax List 1793-1895
1801 Capt Wm BLAKE's Co, Jackson Co
Dempsey TYNER; also Samuel TINER
